Olive wood chew: 'Safe alternative to regular branches and sticks'

10-12-2021

Gnawing, gnawing, gnawing. Every dog loves it. Stitch loves to chew on branches he finds in the forest. We are lucky that he was never interested in our furniture. With Nala it was a different story. Our coffee table and the dining table legs have had to endure a lot. The 'drawings' left behind are a nice memory of her for us, now that she is no longer with us.

Every dog has a natural need to chew. You want to stimulate this. Gnawing maintains their teeth and keeps them busy. But you still want to be able to determine what they are going to gnaw on and preferably not on our shoes.

A good alternative is the olive wood chew. This chewing wood is made of 100% olive wood. The advantage of olive wood is that it is one of the hardest types of wood and therefore does not splinter. The fibers (sawdust) that come from it can simply be swallowed and are easily digestible. The chew is also impregnated with some olive oil, which ensures a beautiful shiny coat.

Because it is completely safe, you can let your dog chew on the bone for a while every day. If you notice that he is not completely interested in it, make it a fun game. Watch Joe do this with Stitch:

We offer the bone in three different sizes. For puppies and small dogs, there is size S. For medium to medium dogs, we have Medium. And for the larger ones, we offer size Large. Click here to order.
